Synopsis:
Santiago de Chile, 1978.
In the midst of the complex and tough social context resulting from Pinochet’s dictatorship, Raúl Peralta (in his fifties), is obsessed with the idea of being as similar as possible to “Tony Manero”, John Travolta´s character in “Saturday Night Fever”.
Raúl creates a dancing group at “The Black Rose”, a nightclub located in the outskirts of the city. Every Saturday evening he unleashes his passion for “Disco” music by imitating his idol.

His urge to reproduce the film atmosphere makes him commit a series of crimes and thefts to get every costume element that appears in the movie.
Finally he finishes his dance floor, so he can dance on it and reach for his dream, which is to be applauded by his neighbors.

He hears about an impersonators contest in the TV show “One O´Clock Festival”. This may be Raúl´s opportunity to be recognised by a bigger audience as a successful showbiz star.
Meanwhile, his dancing partners who are involved in secret activities against the regime are persecuted by the government’s secret police.
